  • 1 pound fresh green beans
  • 4 slices turkey bacon
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Trim the ends of the green beans and blanch them in boiling water for 2-3 minutes.
  2. In a skillet, cook the turkey bacon until crispy, then remove and chop.
  3. In the bacon drippings, add garlic and sauté for 1 minute.
  4. Mix in brown sugar, apple cider vinegar, soy sauce, cornstarch, and water; cook until thickened.
  5. Add the green beans and chopped turkey bacon back into the skillet, coating evenly with the sauce.
  6. Season with salt and pepper, then serve hot.
