Greek Turkey Meatballs & Homemade Tzatziki

Delicious and healthy Greek turkey meatballs served with a homemade tzatziki sauce.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground turkey
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 egg
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 cup plain Greek yogurt
  • 1 cucumber, grated
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon dill, chopped

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine ground turkey, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, egg, garlic, oregano, thyme, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
  3. Form the mixture into meatballs, about 1 inch in diameter.
  4. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat and sear the meatballs until browned on all sides.
  5. Transfer the meatballs to a baking dish and bake for 15-20 minutes, or until cooked through.
  6. For the tzatziki, combine Greek yogurt, grated cucumber, lemon juice, garlic, and dill in a bowl. Mix well and season to taste.
  7. Serve the meatballs warm with the tzatziki on the side.

  • Serve with pita bread for a complete meal.
