  • 1 pound crab meat
  • 1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 4 cups seafood stock
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon Old Bay seasoning
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a large pot, melt butter over medium heat. Add onions and garlic, sauté until translucent.
  2. Stir in flour and cook for 2 minutes.
  3. Gradually whisk in seafood stock, bringing to a simmer.
  4. Add crab and shrimp, cooking until shrimp are pink.
  5. Stir in heavy cream and Old Bay seasoning, simmer for an additional 5 minutes.
  6. Season with salt and pepper before serving.

Notes

  • For a spicier version, add some cayenne pepper.
