Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine warm milk and yeast, let it sit for 5 minutes.
  2. Add flour, sugar, salt, eggs, and vanilla extract to the yeast mixture and mix until a dough forms.
  3. Knead the dough on a floured surface until smooth, about 5 minutes.
  4. Let the dough rise in a greased bowl, covered, for about 1 hour.
  5. Roll out the dough and cut into squares.
  6. Heat the oil in a deep pan and fry the beignet squares until golden brown.
