Strawberry Pretzel Salad

A delicious layered dessert combining salty pretzels, creamy filling, and sweet strawberries.

  • 2 cups crushed pretzels
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 8 ounces whipped topping
  • 2 cups sliced strawberries
  • 1 cup strawberry gelatin
  • 2 cups boiling water

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Combine crushed pretzels, granulated sugar, and melted butter in a bowl.
  3. Press the mixture into the bottom of a 9×13 inch baking dish.
  4. Bake for 10 minutes, then let it cool completely.
  5. In a separate bowl, beat together cream cheese and powdered sugar until smooth.
  6. Fold in whipped topping and spread over the cooled pretzel crust.
  7. Mix sliced strawberries with boiling water and strawberry gelatin in another bowl until dissolved.
  8. Let the gelatin mixture cool slightly, then pour over the cream cheese layer.
  9. Refrigerate for at least 4 hours or until set.

Notes

  • For best results, use fresh strawberries.
  • Can be made a day ahead of time.
