Slow Cooker Sesame Chicken

  • 2 pounds chicken thighs
  • 1/2 cup soy sauce
  • 1/3 cup honey
  • 2 tablespoons sesame oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon grated fresh ginger
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 2 teaspoons sesame seeds
  • 4 green onions, chopped

Instructions

  1. Place the chicken thighs in the slow cooker.
  2. In a bowl, combine soy sauce, honey, sesame oil, garlic, and ginger. Pour over the chicken.
  3. Cook on low for 6-7 hours or until chicken is tender.
  4. Remove chicken and shred it. Mix cornstarch with a little water and add to the sauce. Stir until thickened.
  5. Add shredded chicken back to the sauce and stir to combine.
  6. Garnish with sesame seeds and green onions before serving.

  • For extra flavor, marinate the chicken in the sauce overnight before cooking.
