  • 1 cup Gruyère cheese, shredded
  • 1 package puff pastry sheets
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 teaspoons garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon thyme, dried
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add garlic and mushrooms, cooking until mushrooms are tender.
  3. Stir in thyme, salt, and pepper. Remove from heat and let cool.
  4. Roll out the puff pastry on a floured surface and cut slits on the sides.
  5. Place the mushroom mixture in the center and top with Gruyère cheese.
  6. Braid the pastry by folding the slits over the filling, brushing with beaten egg.
  7. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown.
