  • 1 pound dried navy beans
  • 4 slices turkey bacon, diced
  • 1 cup chicken ham, chopped
  • 1 large onion, diced
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup maple syrup
  • 1 teaspoon mustard powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 cups water

Instructions

  1. Soak the navy beans overnight in water.
  2. Drain and rinse the beans. In a large pot, add beans, turkey bacon, chicken ham, onion, and spices.
  3. Pour in water and bring to a boil.
  4. Reduce heat and simmer for about 2 hours, stirring occasionally, until beans are tender.
  5. Stir in brown sugar and maple syrup, then continue to simmer for another 30 minutes.
  6. Serve warm.
