Homemade Cinnamon Swirl Banana Bread – Perfect for Brunch!

Ingredients

  • 3 ripe bananas
  • 1/3 cup melted butter
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, mash the ripe bananas with a fork until smooth.
  3. Stir in the melted butter.
  4. Add baking soda and salt, mix well.
  5. Stir in sugar, egg, and vanilla extract.
  6. Mix in flour until just incorporated.
  7. Pour half of the batter into a greased loaf pan. Sprinkle with half of the cinnamon.
  8. Add the remaining batter and top with the remaining cinnamon.
  9. Bake for 60-65 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  10. Cool in the pan for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack.

Notes

  • For a richer flavor, use dark brown sugar instead of white.
  • Can add nuts or chocolate chips for additional texture.
