Ground Beef Philly Cheesesteak

A delicious twist on traditional Philly cheesesteak, featuring ground beef and turkey bacon for added flavor.

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 4 slices turkey bacon
  • 1 large onion, sliced
  • 1 large bell pepper, sliced
  • 4 slices provolone cheese
  • 4 hoagie rolls
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet, cook the turkey bacon over medium heat until crispy. Remove and set aside.
  2. In the same skillet, add olive oil, onions, and bell peppers; sauté until softened.
  3. Add the ground beef to the skillet, breaking it apart; cook until no longer pink.
  4. Season with salt and pepper. Layer provolone cheese on top, cover, and let it melt.
  5. Slice the hoagie rolls and fill them with the beef mixture and crumbled bacon.
  6. Serve warm and enjoy!

Notes

  • This recipe can be easily doubled for a larger gathering.
  • Feel free to add more vegetables to the mixture, such as mushrooms or jalapeños.
