- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 4 cups chicken or vegetable broth
- 1 can (15 oz) crushed tomatoes
- 1 can (8 oz) tomato sauce
- 2 teaspoons Italian seasoning
- 8 ounces lasagna noodles, broken into pieces
- 1 cup ricotta cheese
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- Salt and pepper to taste
- In a large pot, brown the ground beef with the chopped onion and minced garlic over medium heat.
- Add the broth, crushed tomatoes, tomato sauce, and Italian seasoning; bring to a boil.
- Add the broken lasagna noodles and cook until tender, about 10 minutes.
- Stir in the ricotta cheese and half of the mozzarella; mix until well combined.
- Serve hot, garnished with remaining mozzarella and Parmesan cheese.
