Creamy Tomato Pasta

Ingredients

  • 8 ounces pasta of your choice
  • 4 slices turkey bacon, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 can (14.5 ounces) diced tomatoes
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt to taste
  • Black pepper to taste
  • Parmesan cheese for serving

Instructions

  1. Cook the pasta according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a skillet, cook the chopped turkey bacon over medium heat until crispy. Remove from the pan and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, add olive oil and minced garlic; sauté until fragrant.
  4. Add diced tomatoes, heavy cream, basil, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Stir and let simmer for about 5 minutes.
  5. Add cooked pasta and crispy bacon to the sauce and mix well.
  6. Serve hot, topped with Parmesan cheese.

Notes

  • For a spicier version, add red pepper flakes.
  • This dish can be made vegetarian by omitting the bacon.
