Classic Patty Melt Recipe

Indulge in a juicy twist on a classic favorite with our delicious Classic Patty Melt recipe featuring turkey bacon.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 4 slices turkey bacon
  • 4 slices rye bread
  • 4 slices Swiss cheese
  • 1 medium onion, sliced
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Cook the turkey bacon in a skillet over medium heat until crispy. Remove and set aside.
  2. In the same skillet, add the sliced onions and cook until caramelized.
  3. Form the ground beef into patties and season with salt and pepper. Cook in the skillet until done to your liking.
  4. Assemble the patty melt by layering the beef patty, turkey bacon, caramelized onions, and Swiss cheese between two slices of rye bread.
  5. Spread butter on the outside of the bread and grill until golden brown and the cheese is melted.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, add a slice of tomato or some pickles.
