Cheesy ground beef rice casserole

A creamy and cheesy baked casserole made with ground beef and rice.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 cup uncooked white rice
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 can diced tomatoes

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a skillet, cook the ground beef over medium heat until browned.
  3. Add garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper to the beef and stir well.
  4. In a large mixing bowl, combine cooked beef, rice, beef broth, diced tomatoes, and half of the cheddar cheese.
  5. Pour mixture into a greased casserole dish and top with remaining cheese.
  6. Bake for 30-35 minutes until bubbly and cheese is melted.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, you can add your favorite vegetables like bell peppers or corn.
  • This dish can be prepared ahead of time and stored in the fridge before baking.
