  • 1 cup cherry pie filling
  • 1 package chocolate cake mix
  • 4 eggs
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 cup water
  • 2 cups whipped topping
  • 1 tablespoon cocoa powder

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Prepare the chocolate cake mix according to package instructions.
  3. Once baked, let the cake cool and then cut it into cubes.
  4. In a trifle dish, layer half of the cake, followed by half of the cherry pie filling, and half of the whipped topping.
  5. Repeat the layers until all ingredients are used, finishing with whipped topping on top.
  6. Sprinkle cocoa powder on top for decoration.
  7. Chill for at least 2 hours before serving.
