  • 2 pounds chicken thighs
  • 1 cup bourbon
  • 1/2 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup ketchup
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon ginger, minced
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix bourbon, soy sauce, brown sugar, ketchup, garlic, ginger, sesame oil, and black pepper.
  2. Place chicken thighs in the Crock Pot and pour sauce over them.
  3. Cook on low for 6 hours or high for 3 hours until chicken is tender.
  4. Remove chicken, shred, and return to the pot, stirring to coat.
  5. Serve over rice or noodles.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, marinate the chicken in the sauce overnight before cooking.
  • Feel free to adjust the sweetness by adding more or less brown sugar.
